HIMMELSLEITER – 1995

Eine einfache geweisste Holzkiste, auf deren Boden ein Foto liegt, welches einen Gesichtsausschnitt zeigt. Von diesem Boden erhebt sich, über vier Meter in die Höhe, eine Leiter, die schwer (Tonstreben) und gleichzeitig sehr leicht wirkt (kaschiert mit Nessel). Die Leiter ist an einem Punkt in der Höhe befestigt und reagiert auf Bewegung schwingend.

JACOB’S LADDER
A simple white wooden box and on the bottom a photograph that shows part of a face. A four-meter long rope ladder rises from the bottom of the box. The ladder appears to be heavy (struts made of clay) and at the same time very light (wrapped in canvas). The ladder is fixed at only one point and sways back and forth.
